For the Love of Fearne

Oh Fearne with your long flowing hair, and your funky shoes and socks, I want to be you.

Dear universe-man-woman-infinite-abyss,

Obviously I’m thankful for everything that life has given me so far, and even though I’m working hard and sometimes & feel like I’m going backwards I know it aint all that bad. However, why couldn’t I have been blessed with Fearne Cottons stylist?! Oh to look like Fearne, oh to be Fearne! Funny, Sexy, friendly and appealing, she's just got it all! Not everyone can pull off leopard prints, lace and Converse trainers in one outfit but Fearne manages it. So my pledge to you universe-man-woman-infinite-abyss is that over the next few weeks after handpicking my top Fearne outfits I will reinvent my stale wardrobe with a little bit of Fearne magic! And in return you might be so kind as to sprinkle some of your own special dusty earthy magic onto me & my wardrobe, I’ll be waiting.

Many Thanks,

Miss Skirt.

Who needs a Penfriend when you have Penfield?

With the winter months still quite evident and with Spring not even making the slightest of whimpers to suggest that it is on its way. It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for all noble squires to invest heavily in some windproof regalia. Keeping warm is one of life’s raw essentials and the Penfield Mackinaw Jacket is a fine piece of technical engineering that will also leave one with the heir of grace and self appreciation. I initially purchased one of these finely crafted jackets at the end of last winter. I thought it looked pretty sharp and on receiving it and I wasn’t disappointed. However this little jacket offers more than just a polished exterior and with its groundbreaking Thermore heating, it keeps you at your optimum body temperature come snow, rain or shine. It’s also extremely light and can be easily squeezed into a tiny bag which is provided. All in all, the Mackinaw Jacket makes a pretty good staple for any self affirming Gent who wants to look cool but stay warm in the process. Go buy one now….

My Furry Gloves

I have and always will be an animal lover, all animals big or small, if I could I would house them all.

So the other day I was in a charity shop in London, can’t remember where or which one, but after rustling my way through a box of accessories I found the most amazing gloves. The underside was vintage black leather, and the upper was made of long smooth fur in a reddish chocolate colour. Now I still don’t know if they are real fur or not, but I do know that these gloves are old, like war time old. After getting smiles all round at my bear impressions, I decided to purchase the gloves (£2.50!), I figured after all I am just recycling what was done many years ago.

They have proved to be a very useful purchase very warm and very soft, and everyone loves them, though the other day whilst shopping in Sainsbury’s a man shrieked as he saw me stuffing them into my bag, he then laughed and told me he thought I had a small dog in my hands!

You can see how great my gloves are in the photo and my suggestion, go out and get some! You can get somesimilar but not quite as cool from the likes of asos (pictured).
